POWERCOM® - Digital data transmission in combination with conductor
Cat. 9c
|
Digital data transfer
is part of today's technology and used increasingly for mobile
machinery such as cranes, AS/AR systems, gantry cranes, monorails
etc. Extensive investigations and research have led to the
development of a reliable, interference-free data transmission
system that we market under the name 'POWERCOM'.
Two different systems are available:
- The VAHLE-POWERCOM
system transfers data between two computer interfaces by means of a
VAHLE conductor system or by VAHLE slip ring
assemblies (point to point transfer). It is a two-wire system
providing full duplex transmission with a maximum transmission
speed of 9600 baud between two computers or microprocessors.
- POWERCOM 3 (multi-drop transmission)POWERCOM 3 is a
communication processor to transmit computer data between a central
unit and up to 30 slaves by means of a 2-phase conductor system. It
is a half-duplex transmission at a max. speed of 19200 baud.
The following standard protocols are available:
- SINEC-L1 protocol to
control the L1-Industry Bus System with the use of automation unit S 5.
- SINEC-L2-FMS with
19200 bit/sec for max 127 users according to DIN 19425 part 1 (PROFIBUS)
- Transparent protocol
for all other applications with CPU automation units
- Protocol 3964 R.
Applications:
- cranes
- AS/AR systems
- electric monorails
- transfer cars
- tooling shuttles
- coke-oven cars
- cranes scales
- etc.
